Barcodes - Did you know ??

Did you know that no matter what the front of the box or package says, many products  no longer show where they were made and generally just give information on where the distributor is located??

Many food and pet products now come from China, but you can use the barcode to generally track where the product came from

Can you differentiate which products are made in Taiwan or China?

If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690, 691 or 692, the product is made in China, 471 is made in Taiwan.

Other examples would be

|    00-09   - Made in USA & Canada    |
|    30-37   - France                              |
|    40-44   - Germany                          |
|    49        - Japan                                |
|    50        - UK                                     |
